Classic Elite Yarns' "Premiere" is a DK weight, super soft, plied yarn made of 50% cotton and 50% Tencel (special plant fiber). "Premiere" is shown in a good range of muted colors with a slight sheen; it has a silky quality and can be used for sweaters, vests, and shells.

This yarn is soft and has a lovely drape. I found it a little easier to knit with than other cottons. I didn't find it to have any significant lint or fuzz problems. It has stood up to washing/wearing pretty well. Pilled a little at the underarm where there's lots of friction.

This comment is about the Classic Elite Star yarn. I was a diehard Cascade Fixation fan until I tried this Star yarn. It has excellent stretch, and a nice texture that is fun to knit and easy to wear. It actually does wash/dry nicely in the machine, though the label says otherwise. I knit the socks on a size 3, but the next pair I will knit the sole/foot on a smaller size for the yarn holds up better on the feet. I only wish it came in variegated and more solid colors.
