"Blue Face Leicester Sliver" from Fleece Artist is wool roving which takes its name from a hornless, longwool sheep which was developed in the early 1900s in northern England. The sheep's black skin shows through the white hair on the face which gives the appearance of blue faces. Their fleece is fairly fine, dense, semi lustrous and white. This roving works well for felting, needle felting, spinning and dyeing.
