Due to the popularity & beauty of a special dyeing technique, Lorna's Lace's has developed "Swirl Chunky Solid". For this lovely swirl or candy cane effect, they take two strands of merino plied with one strand of silk and then dye them together. Because the silk absorbs the dye more slowly than the wool, you see a terrific tone-on-tone result. What better look could you ask for in your quick-knit, chunky knitting & crochet projects? A blend of 83% merino wool & 17% silk, this yarn works up beautifully when used alone or in combination with color-coordinated yarns.
