Ingenua Add to My Favorites
You'll know from the first touch that Katia's "Ingenua" yarn is a unique mohair combination yarn. This yarn is made of 78% mohair, 13% nylon, and 9% wool. By combining the softness of mohair, the resilence of nylon and the durability of wool, Katia has developed a magnificent yarn suitable for a wide variety of knitting projects. "Inguena" is the superb choice for afghans, sweaters and shawls. The results will be light & airy, soft & warm - absolutely spectacular!

MARCH OF 2005, I CROCHETED MY SISTER A CAPE USING INGENUA PEACH, WORKING FIVE ROWS OF SINGLE CROCHET, FOLLOWING BY FIVE ROWS OF "V" STITCHING. THIS WAS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT USING MOHAIR AND IT DID TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO. I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE LOOK OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT, AND WITH THE THREAD LEFT OVER FROM MY SISTER'S CAPE, I MADE MY STEPDAUGHTER A LOVELY PEACH SCARF IN A LACY STITCH. IF YOU'VE NEVER TRIED WORKING IN MOHAIR OR MOHAIR BLEND, THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO START.

i love the softness of this stuff - it's great for blending with other yarns, too (went REALLY well with a skein of Manos del Uraguay). The skeins are huge and tho i tend not to use unnatural fibers, the touch of nylon in this does make it a little more durable. good luck frogging this tho, lol...
