I inherited a skein from my mother, but found this yarn difficult to work with. I do work with some acrylics but this one just feels cheap in my hands. Lion Brand Homespun--though a finer gauge--feels much softer, works up more easily, and has a more up to date color selection.

I really like this yarn. Inexpensive, available in some very attractive colours, and knits up quickly on large needles. I used the Wine solid for a project, and found that one skein made a lovely long scarf. It may not be luxurious, but I don't mind the feel of it -- and it feels very soft and lovely knitted up.
