I've used this yarn for two sweaters and really like it. It's too bad that Rowan discontinued Polar because it's quite soft, doesn't pill and is a pretty good value. You can still find Polar on ebay (try the UK sites).

I have made one jumper from Polar: I think it wears terribly, the surface after one winter's wear looks awful - pilling and general loose surface - BUT I still love it, it is a live-in winter jumper and I have a couple more colours I'm going to be knitting for this winter.

I agree, it's too bad it's discontinued. It's getting harder and harder to find balls of this on the internet! Beautiful texture, I made a hat out of this. Looks very fuzzy after it's knitted, but I like that depending on the project.
