A classic, affordable, readily-available yarn in loads of colors. I use this yarn for aran work and it has never disappointed. Very nice for classic projects like baby sweaters or afghans.

Affordable with lots of colors to chose from and lots of yardage/skein (220 yds, hence the name). I made a lovely turtleneck sweater with Cascade Quatro (multicolor) and alpaca for the cuffs and neck.

Use this yarn to knit or crochet helmet liners for our troops in Iraq. Go to www.geocities.com/helmetliner for pattern & information.

Good, sturdy all-purpose yarn. Felts okay (not a very tight fabric), but a very affordable yarn and soft after you wash it.

Excellent buy. 100+ colors so there should be one for everyone. Great stitch definition and easy to work up. I found it felted easily (perhaps the others reviewer needed to refelt it) and tightly. Don't be fooled by Lion Brands copy cat yarn -- less yardage and less price, but more expensive per yard. Superwash is great for babies and childrens items.

One of my favorites. The heathers, in particular, are impressive: The effect adds depth rather than just washing out the color, as many heathered yarns tend to do. It wears very well, and is one of the most cost-effective yarns out there. Great for felting as well.

Nice to have such a great array of colors. The array of greens alone is straggering. I wish it were a bit softer, but the yardage is certainly something to shout about.

Amazing color selection and you can't beat the price. The yarn is nice quality and feels good next to the skin. I made a sweater from it and would definitely recommend it. Nice stitch definition.

People say that this is a good yarn due to the yardage for your buck, but I was pretty annoyed that the dye stained my needles even before I was done knitting my project! Therefore, be wary if you knit with the brighter shades.
