I have used the regular wool ease DK weight and it pills badly once knit up, it just doesn't knit up to the quality I like.

This yarn is super thick and really does build quickly. I used it to make an afghan and it turned out to be quite heavy and not very soft. However, it's a nice and easy yarn to work with. I wish they would make it in more colors.

Knits quickly, but lints badly and does pill. Not nearly the softest wool yarn -- after working with it for a while, I could feel the acrylic in it more, and it began to itch.

I made some quick slippers with this stuff ages ago, and as a result won't use any weight of LB wool-ease again. Very pilly, and indeed the acrylic is more and more noticeable the more you use it.

This yarn is great for the price. I think it's pretty soft for being part acrylic. Yes, it does lint, but depending on what you're making, the fuzzyness looks nice. You can make cute accessories really quick, and it doesn't look awful after time (and for $5 a skein, not too bad.)

I made the large duffle bag from the Lion free pattern site and the T&Q worked up very quickly. I avoid the "heather" colors in the worsted wgt as I've found them rough and itchy for garments but I'm pleased with the T&Q yarn...no problems at all.
