I love it, too. Try a blunter, more rounded tipped needle if the splitting is a problem. I like the way it wears and washes, the price, the color range. Paying attention for splits is a small price for me to pay.

This is probably the best all round cotton yarn on the market. Fabulous colors, too. Splitting is a minor problem, not so much if I use bamboo needles.

I feel like a turncoat after reading the above comments; however I will use up what I have and buy no more. I don't like how it feels in my hand, and although the colors are brilliant and the shine is wonderful, it has absolutely *no* memory and I find it not joyful to work with. I prefer the cotton/tencel blends, which are *MUCH* softer and nicer to work with, as well as some cotton/silk blends that almost feel like merino! TCC has a wonderful color palette ands shine, and maybe one day, after I get over it, I'll try it again.
